Hello, everyone!

My name is Megan and I’m the leader of this book club. For my first post, I’d like to begin with an explanation of this club and what we’re going to be doing in it.

This book club is based at Missouri River Regional Library in Jefferson City, Missouri and is meant for adult readers located there. (But others are free to read and comment here, too!)

The term “loosely bound” refers to the way in which this book club will be run: with minimal oversight and a lot of freedom. Each month, a theme/subject/genre will be chosen for the following meeting. Members are free to read whatever book they like, so long as it follows the theme/subject/genre for that month. These will be posted on this website, which can also be found on the library’s website at http://www.mrrl.org. If appropriate, I will also post a list of suggested books for that theme.

We will meet once a month (usually on the third Monday) for coffee and conversation in the River Room at the Missouri River Regional Library from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m to discuss which book we read.
